Kodombl Island Retreat

Conceived as an ultra-exclusive enclave, the Kodombl Island Retreat redefines the boundaries of private hospitality through spatial intimacy, contextual sensitivity, and an architecture of understated luxury. Designed to host a single party of no more than sixteen guests, the project explores the architectural potential of seclusion as a form of ultimate privilege. The intervention embraces the island’s natural character, integrating low-impact materials and vernacular typologies reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. Prioritizing experiential richness over ostentation, the retreat cultivates a relaxed yet refined atmosphere—an architectural narrative of casual luxury framed by the rhythms of the sea and the horizon.
